Marketing Coordinator

Bloomington, MN

About the Position:

We are looking for a well-rounded Marketing Coordinator to assist the sales and product development departments in our branding and marketing initiatives.  You will be working independently most of the time with oversight from the department managers. Also, you will work with multiple vendors for printing, box design, website maintenance, and more.  While much of the marketing program is established, it requires upkeep and we are looking for fresh ideas on improving efficiency in the department. This position is designed to be ever-changing as marketing trends and department needs change, and so will responsibilities change. 

Regular responsibilities include:

  • Website management: upkeep of content and incoming requests for online catalog access and addressing customer feedback

  • Product launches: updating information and creating marketing materials

  • New product packaging design

  • Email Campaigns: creation and analytics

  • Digital marketing advertisements

  • Social media posts

  • Product catalog database updates

  • Printed brochure and custom folder creation

  • Contribute to company culture and employee-engagement

  • Maintain inventory of sales support materials

  • Prepare materials for trade shows and events

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma/ GED

  • Experience with traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing

  • Positive attitude

  • Ability to work independently and in a group

  • Detail-Oriented

  • Well- organized and able to prioritize multiple projects

  • High level of written and verbal communication

  • Ability to meet deadlines

Desired Skills:

  • 4-year college degree (GPA 3.0 or higher) in marketing, advertising, communications or relevant work experience (we recognize military training as work experience)

  • Technical writing experience and good typing accuracy

  • Familiarity with Editorial and Content management and customer relationship management tools

  • Knowledge of email software

  • Product photography

  • Experience with meeting and event planning

Computer Skills:

  • Social media: posting on existing sites- develop following on FB and LinkedIn

  • Microsoft Office Suite- with a high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, and more

  • Google Analytics- must be able to report on web traffic and identify patterns

  • Familiarity with use of a CMS for website
